Last Minute V-Day Outfit

It’s valentines day the day of LOVE <3
Not sure on what to wear on valentines day? heres a few ideas..

Wear something cute, you want to be cute not slutty.. yes you are trying to impress your significant other but don’t wear clothes that show too much cleavage or is too short.. You don’t want them staring at your boobs the whole day or night and not listening or paying attention to you. Remember its all about personality and spending quality time with your other half..not how slutty you dress

.

If you’re going on a picnic, movie or something not as formal wear clothes that are casual but not too casual. Wear Flats instead of sneakers, Nice pretty top with pants or shorts or a cute playsuit etc.. You may want to stay away from heels & dresses as if you’re walking a lot.. you don’t want to be taking off you’re shoes as thats not attractive at all so stick with flats on a casual date also if you’re going on a picnic or somewhere that you’re sitting on the ground/windy etc.. stay away from dresses as you don’t want to flash them or feel uncomfortable.

 

Going on a more formal date like to a restaurant or somewhere fancy then op for something more formal eg. Heels, Dresses, Blazers etc..

 

Most importantly wear clothes that you feel comfortable in and have fun :)

DIY: Formal Dress

DIY: Formal Dress

Can’t find the perfect formal dress or its all too expensive? I have the solution.. maybe? .. turn a plain looking dress into something a little bit fancy and more appropriate for a formal or ball.

What You Need:

1. A Dress (preferably plain) I got mine from Xenia Boutique (Follow Me Dress) and they’re still selling it (:

2. Material of your choice (something a bit fancy like sequin material.. thats what i used)

3. Sewing Needle

4. Cotton

5. Scissors

6. Pins

How to:

1. Get your chosen dress, lay it out, put your material on top and cut it to the about shape and size  (I’m redoing the top of my dress.. the front and back) I did this in 3 parts..

Part 1: (the front) Once cut to the shape on the front.. pin it on the dress try it on and make sure the edges of the material will go to the edges of the top part of the dress if all good take it off and then sew it ( I sewed it by hand but you can use a sewing machine if you want, probably will be quicker but up to you)

Part 2 & 3: (the back)

I did the back in 2 parts as the zip ran down the middle if your zip is not down the middle or you don’t have a zip then you can do this with one part.

Part 2: Cut the material a little bit bigger as the back of my dress is stretchy if yours is not don’t worry about doing this carry on and repeat part 1. Pin one side of the material on the dress. Put the dress on and get someone else to help you pin the rest of the material onto the dress so it hits the edges (for a dress with a stretchy back so the material will stretch with your body). take it off and sew around the edges.. Repeat this step for part 3 aswell

P.S Sorry i have no step by step pictures to help as I never thought of doing it at the time..

Fashion Motivation

Of course, We all want to be able to fit into those size 8 jeans right? or into a fancy dress so we are willing to put in the extra yards to be able to wear the latest fashion.

Trend Alert: Peplum

I’m loving the trend peplum at the moment.

so far I only own 2 peplum tops but hoping to invest in some peplum pants, skirts, jackets and maybe even a dress. Not saying i’m actually going to get all of these as I’m a poor student I probably won’t but I would like too.

Peplum tops are amazing they cinch at the waist and then flare out, it makes you look skinnier than you are even though I don’t need to look any skinner as i consider myself pretty skinny as i weigh about 45kg but i’m also quite short. Peplum is so flattering and makes you look more feminine and sexier. You can dress it up or down depending on what kind of look you’re going for. Also there are more options not just tops but pants, skirts, jackets, shorts and dresses.

Just a touch of ink

At the moment i’m loving small tattoos yet I have no tattoos of my own as i’m afraid of needles. Needless to say one day I may get a small tat. Small tattoos are cute and can have so much meaning and they look so feminine.

To be honest i’ve never been a fan of tattoos as they are permanent and can look so tacky but just with the right touch they can look really classy and not so tacky, that is why i love small tattoos as they are not so overwhelming and put in the right places they can be a fashion statement. “Yes” i said it “a fashion statement” that is not to say that you go down to a tattoo parlour and get a tonne of small tattoos as that would be over the top! but to choose them carefully and hopefully choose ones that have meaning to YOU not to anyone else but YOU as you have to have it for the rest of your life :O. Another reason why i’m a bit iffy of getting a tattoo as when I get older i might get fat and wrinkly and then the tattoo will look absolutely horrible as it would have stretched. Hopefully one day i will overcome my fears and get a small meaningful tattoo but in the mean time heres are a few pics to inspire you too :)

 

My best friend really wants to get this tattoo with me and yes we have been best friends since we were little kids so not just a best friend of a year or two but much longer of intact nearly 15 years of my life and I’m 18, I love this as it would have so much meaning but I’m still a bit iffy and need to overcome my fears.

The perfect guy

We all want the “perfect” guy who can dress good and not like a slob..

but truth is not all guys have a sense of fashion and thats what makes them perfect,

We (girlies) love the fact that even though we don’t have the “perfect” guy (in fashion sense) but we have the perfect guy who can treat us like a princess and not like we’re a piece of meat and thats what attracts us to them, their personality its not all about their looks because they could have the looks but be a total jerk and thats not attractive at all. 

what i’m trying to get out of this is the “perfect guy” can come in all different ways, not just looks but bonus if you have both (; we girls deserve to be treated like a princess and not something on the side.

Don’t know what to wear this christmas/new years or you’ve left it to last minute? no need to fear as i have the solution. Find one statement piece whether it’s something sparkly, sequin, bold necklace or anything that screams STATEMENT!! and pair it with something plain or casual and trust me, the one statement piece will make your outfit look so much better and won’t look like you’ve put it together last minute.

DIY: Studded shoulder Jumper

DIY: Studded Shoulder Sweater

What you need:

• Tall English Silver Studs (or any size you prefer)
• a sweater/jumper (any colour/size/type of jumper.. up to you)
• a knife ( not a sharp one .. you don’t want to cut yourself) or ruler or something to bend the prongs down.

How to:

1. Work out how many studs you want to use and where you want to place them on your jumper. (I put mine on both shoulders in a triangular shape)
2. push the studs through the jumper and hold it there as you get your knife to bend the prongs down… continue to do it for all the studs.
3. and then Finito! you are done and have a studded jumper :D
